Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - Sloterdijk Station by IHG

Lovely place to sleep and rest for all to also explore Amsterdam in

Les plus: It was very close to all the public transport as well as having a restaurant and eurospar right next to it making it easy to find somewhere fancy to eat and a place for snacks if whatever in the reception area doesn’t have what you need. I did find it quite odd how there was no reception on the ground floor but it makes sense for safety reasons.

Les moins: I found the beds to be quite uncomfortable to sleep in; but that could be me getting older ha ha

Gutes Hotel mir eine Station vom Hauptbahnhof entfernt. Top!

Good location and value

Les plus: The hotel is convenience and breakfast was good

Les moins: The staffs informed us that we can do early check in but they couldn't and we still waited till 15:000 for check in.

Note des voyageurs 10PETER

I would be happy to recommend Holiday Inn Express Sloterdijk to any solo traveller.

Les plus: The room was extremely comfortable, especially the bed and the cleaning service was exemplary AND when one told reception that the room did NOT require cleaning the following day, one received a voucher for a free drink - an excellent way to encourage guests to be a little "greener"

Les moins: I did not find anything that failed to meet my expectations, except, perhaps, that I would have liked a bit more storage space.

Les moins: Not many good options nearby

Les plus: The hotel was right next to the train station which made getting anywhere really easy. The hotel was very clean and tidy throughout. Staff were friendly and for a small fee of €10 a room they allowed early check in. The breakfast in the morning had a good continental assortment with scrambled and boiled eggs available each day plus sometimes sausages, hash browns etc. Rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and pillows, they also had free shampoo and body wash and tea/coffee making facilities. We were given the choice if we wanted our room cleaned during our 3 day stay, which we chose not too so we were given a voucher for a free drink per person from the bar each day. I also liked that you had to use your room key card to activate the lift, so only guests could access the floors and if you didn't shut your door properly a beeping sound went off until you did.

Les moins: Unfortunately we were on the second floor which meant every morning when the spar shop below got there delivery just before 5am, we could hear the cages etc being banged around but I am a light sleeper. The rooms do not have a safe. They also do not have a telephone to be able to reach reception. One night, the room opposite us were playing really loud music which went on for a few hours and by then we were already undressed and didn't want to have to venture downstairs to inform reception. Luckily this was only the first night of our stay and the room opposite checked out the next day.

Note des voyageurs 5Sumanjit

Not value for money

Les plus: Location - Very convenient and connected , excellent Breakfast - Great spread, can't complain

Les moins: Room - too small, no bathtub. No steam iron facility Facility - Not having Gym is a big issue Reception - Long queue, takes too much time

Note des voyageurs 8Conce

Note des voyageurs 8RuiDuarte

Les plus: The location being one stop away from Amsterdam central station by train.

Les moins: For starters very slow check-in experience. Upon getting the key to the hotel room. I found out the number written down by the reception staff was a incorrect room. When finally being given the right room. I had no TV. Which I have to say when reported this was resolved but took far too long to resolve (few days). Very Strange room noises throughout the week of my stay every night was something different. I had a leaky noisy shower. When turned off would continue to leak and make a horrific noise throughout the night no matter what I did I could not get it to shut up. The bed I might as well have been sleeping on a bed of rocks. Mattress and pillows were no good. If you were wanting a drink at the bar be prepared for a long wait even though you are the only one queuing. Staff need to be more polite and smile. 3 star hotel. With 1 star service.

Note des voyageurs 5Gratitude

Great location, poor cleanliness.

Les plus: Location - public transport easily accessible.

Les moins: It’s really dirty.. room service did not change our bedding on the days we elected housekeeping.

Brief stay in Amsterdam

Les plus: The hotel room was good, decent size , clean. The breakfast was plentiful with good variety. The location is right next to the train station and tram amd bus stops, however you need transport to get into the city centre.

Les moins: There were some trouble makers hangng outside the hotel entrance and outside the Spar shop. I was offered drugs and one of them annoyed a girl and one night there was a stabbing(junkie on junkie) the bar tender said at the neighbouring Marmaris restaurant said.

Note des voyageurs 8Chermaine

A great place to stay for a short visit.

Les plus: Good location. Good breakfast. Close by to the Central station.

Les moins: Some reception counter staff are quite rude. Except Miss Ahysha she is kind and courteous. Explain to us how to go to the Olympic stadium.

Note des voyageurs 8Olga

Note des voyageurs 8Wilfried

Note des voyageurs 10yacine

IHG Sloterdijk stay in lovely Amsterdam

Les plus: Comfortable bed and a large room. The shower and bathroom was great. The accessibility and lift down to the bus station and the Sloterdijk train station next door was very handy. The included breakfast was very good and tasty and the general level of service was exceptional given the price range of the hotel.

Les moins: The only minor issue was the air-conditioning was apparently adjustable only -3 degrees from ambient temperature but we're not really sure how it worked. The room seemed a bit warm but luckily it was cool outside. Also the control panel was extremely bright in the dark and I had to try to cover it so it didn't keep me awake. Some instructions about the aircon would have been helpful.

Note des voyageurs 4Heidi

below moderate, not worth of money I spent for 1 night

Les plus: Location

Les moins: The room didn’t have a safe or a closet, not even a phone to call the reception or water, I’ve been traveling my whole life and never seen something likes this in a room

Note des voyageurs 9Bálint

Note des voyageurs 9Tamás

Les plus: The hotel is directly at Sloterdijk Station, so the connection to Amsterdam Centraal is perfect (7-8 minutes by train), and a tram goes to the city center too (15 minutes). The room is comfortable and clean, tha bathroom is modern, and just the right size. The breakfast is really good, the usual hotel breakfast but with a wide selection, and a good coffee. The bar is rather modest, but it is nice to relax there in the evening.

Les moins: Well, it is at the station, so you hear some of the trains coming in and out a little bit, but the isolation of the windows are quite good, so it is not really disturbing. If you walk around the city all day, you'll definitely sleep well:)

Les moins: Non ca va…

Note des voyageurs 4Lazaros

Not a 4 star hotel by far more like a 2 star

Les plus: Close to public transportation

Les moins: Smell, carpets were stains all over from hallway till the inside the room. Leaking shower when using, broken remote for tv. Tv sounds on English Channel echoing. Didn’t know had to pay for parking €35 a night got message day before checking in not post on booking. Com. I cancel my car rental cause of that.

Note des voyageurs 10Diana

slecht geslapen

Les plus: bedden waren matig, veel te hard, matrassen zat geen veerkracht meer in schuim. vloerbedekking was vies, zaten vlekken in.

Note des voyageurs 4Hassan

You’re better off going to Park Inn nearby

Les plus: The staff were friendly and the hotel was very close to Sloterdijk station

Les moins: Dirty carpets everywhere. No closet for clothing. No mini refrigerator. No safe/lockbox. Staff don’t turnover your room daily unless you explicitly tell them to. Sound proofing isn’t the best, so if you have a window overlooking the walkway to Sloterdijk station, you should expect to hear lots of noise from foot traffic. Pricing was also unreasonable.

W ciągu 10 minut można dojechać do centrum i lotniska.
