For the price, which was the highest of all the other hotels we took on this trip, it was very disappointing!

The location, for our purposes!

There was black mold in the soap tray in the bathroom, This was reported to the manager! For which he gave us two Continental breakfast vouchers, because :”since it is already paid for I can not do anything else”! In addition there were other minor details, which we would not expect at a hotel of this status!

L'emplacement, la gentillesse du personnel

Best hotel in the neighborhood, hands down. The best option in the area, by far.

I generally prefer quieter neighborhoods, but the hotel’s location is excellent — it’s close to all the subway lines, which made getting around the city very easy. The room was comfortable and the view of Madison Square Garden is wonderful. The bathroom is a bit small, but the towels are great. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and there are two good restaurants on site. I’m a returning guest.

Honestly, nothing comes to mind. The hotel is great and I don’t see much room for improvement.

A great experience!

Convenient location. Great staff. So much history, wish they offered a tour. It’s an iconic New York landmark, wish they would promote it more and if you stay be sure to go downstairs and see just a small portion of the history. They should allow guests the ability to view the Grand Ballroom.

The nostalgia and history. The staff was excellent!

We vonden de stad natuurlijk erg interessant.

Locatie van het hotel is werkelijk perfect.

מה פחות אהבו: Het hotel voldeed niet aan de verwachtingen van een vier sterren hotel.

topissime

The Hotel New Yorker seems to have become my place to stay since the Hotel Pennsylvania closed.

Location is good. Many good places to eat inexpensively are nearby. I'll have to try the Tick Tock Diner again sometime. Friendly staff members Business room in the lower lobby is easily accessible. The printer worked! I was welcomed to check in earlier than I expected on the day of my arrival. Interesting displays about the hotel's history and about long-ago resident Nicola Tesla Unusual and interesting hotel floor plan and layout

Hotel prices have been rising.

Gran hotel, con cosas a mejorar

We love the New Yorker!

View was spectacular. Bed was comfortable and shower was great and had lots of hot water.

The room was very small, so small we had to move the chair over near the door to freely access the left side of the bed.

Great location, right across from MSG and walkable to Times Square, close to many train lines as well. The room was slightly outdated, but we didn't hang in the rooms during the day, so a non-issue. Our room even had a balcony which we did not expect!

Make sure you read the fine print on the breakfast. We booked our room for 6 people but only allowed vouchers for 2 people. Also the vouchers do not get you much, either a $5 discount at the Tick Tock diner OR a coffee/juice and a pastry.

Excellent location. Was recommended to me. Would recommend to anyone. Room sizes are decent

Excellent location. Check in and out staff were really friendly and welcoming. Very patient with tired travellers. Loved the way all key cards had to be shown before you could access the lifts. Made me feel safe

There’s nothing

Très très bon emplacement.

Top Lage. Insgesamt sehr gut

מה אהבו: Für NYC verhältnismäßig große Zimmer.

Kein Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer. Sehr kleine betten.

This property needs major updates and renovations to make it worth the price.

We reserved this room because it was a very short walk to Madison Square Garden so the location was ideal.

Aside from being quite cramped (which I know a lot of NYC hotel rooms are), the entire hotel seemed rather dated and dingy. The carpet felt slightly damp the day we arrived, the bathroom didn’t have any shelf or counter to hold toiletries, and the shower dripped even when turned off. Tons of street noise and the walls must be paper thin because we could hear a lot of noise from adjacent rooms.

Ótima localização mas com quartos apertados.

Hotel amplo e localização excepcional perto de vários pontos turísticos a pé, linhas de metrô e de trem.

Quartos apertados.

Location. Security in the lobby 24/7

Needs updates in terms of plumbing. Major chips and other deep cosmetic issues. Beds were incredibly small and stains were common to find on the sheets. Charged for a couple of services that should be complementary with the stay (holding bags, check in times, etc)

A good experience with everything is nearby, very good location

The hotel has a magnificent location in the centre of New York Midtown, and everything is nearby ( attractions, markets, restaurants, metro stations…etc ), but it’s a slightly expensive hotel!

8Geurtsen-Baars

Tje Great Gatsby vibe and super location

מה אהבו: charming atmosphere in an excellent location: the design of the hotel throws you back to the glorious pre-WWII aesthetics, while conveniantely located next to the Penn Station (fast transfer from JFK via LIRR, subway, Empire state building, Hudson Yards and few blocks away from Times Square. The rooms are small, they don't have a coffee machine, the standard view is to a wall in front etc, but hey! you only sleep here. and sleeping was good.

The breakfast down at TicToc diner is not worth it. save few dollars and use it to get a normal breakfast in one of the places around.

Son emplacement au milieu de tout!!!

Les équipements un peu vieux

La vicinanza alla metro

Excellent location! The hotel is a bit older, but the beds are super comfortable. The staff is incredibly friendly, especially Afroza and the front desk team, as well as the housekeeper responsible for our section (Room 2349). They all went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent stay. Being in Midtown means that almost everything is within walking distance. Plus, having the 24-hour Tick Tock Diner right in the hotel makes the stay even more convenient. Not only is it so easy to access, but the food is delicious and the portions are generous. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

An October Visit

I appreciated the 24/7 Tik Tok Diner access and available seating in the lobby while waiting on friends and/or family as well as getting out of the room so it could be refreshed. I enjoyed an afternoon cocktail at the hotel bar and the bartender made my beverage choice perfectly.

Room 782 is tired with a peeling finish on the bathroom door and carpeting that looks as though it could be shampooed or replaced. The bed pillows are horrible, lumpy and stiff, terrible if you have an arthritic neck.

7Mary Ann

If you want to stay and experience New York in old New York fashion, this is the pace to stay.

The staff was phenomenal. Mohammed was at the check in area and he was polite, friendly, and provided exceptional service. The location was excellent

The outdated fixtures. The noise and air from the bathroom window. The small beds.
