  Lovely 3 Nights stay

  Понравилось: The Staff was very friendly and we could Check in earlier than expected. Location is awesome, Paddington Station 200m away and several little Shops in the street. If you want to have roomservice while you stay you have to scan a code. The Room was Clean.

  Не понравилось: The AirCondition is broken. If you travel with a big Bag or Luggage Roomsize is cozy but you will have this everywhere in Central London. If you have trouble walking or walking stairs you also could get Problems.

  Не понравилось: Verwarming kamer kapot. Kamer met drie losse bedden geboekt, kreeg in eerste instantie een kamer met een dubbelbed en een enkel bed. Uiteindelijk andere kamer gekregen met twee eenpersoonsbedden en een bedbank. IJskoud op de kamer, behalve de vloerverwarming in de badkamer. Die was gloeiend heet.. Enkel glas, gehorige kamer. Lift kapot. Te weinig ruimte in de ontbijtruimte waardoor een wachtrij ontstond. Dit hotel heeft dringend een renovatie nodig. Als goedmakertje werd ons een fles prosecco beloofd. Hoewel wij er vier dagen waren, geen fles gezien.

  Foi ok, valeu a pena pela localização.

  Понравилось: O café da manhã é bom e a localização é excelente, ótima para fazer passeios turísticos pela cidade. O metrô, restaurantes e ônibus ficam bem perto, e a região é segura. A cama é confortável e havia um bebedouro com água gelada gratuita na recepção.

  Не понравилось: Chegamos pela manhã ao hotel devido ao horário do nosso voo, mas só pudemos fazer o check-in depois das 16h. Como tínhamos passeios programados, precisamos nos trocar e usar o banheiro da recepção, que estava em situação deplorável, extremamente sujo. Além disso, achei os quartos minúsculos; as fotos dão a impressão de um espaço muito mais amplo, mas mal dá para abrir uma mala no chão. Para piorar, acordei pela manhã com uma goteira em cima da minha cabeça molhando todo o travesseiro, provavelmente de alguém tomando banho no andar de cima. Por fim, os corredores parecem um labirinto, cheios de portas, curvas e escadas. Quem viaja com malas grandes precisa se preparar para carregar peso escada acima.

  Change in management has led to a dip in minimum standards

  Понравилось: I've stayed in this hotel before and I had a positive experience, so I stayed a second time because the location was good and I had a good stay.

  Не понравилось: Disappointed on this stay, probably due to the change in management. In particular, communication with the property after my stay to obtain an invoice was extremely poor both through email communication and through Booking.com. Will not be staying a 3rd time.

  Vi är som helhet nöjda med vår vistelse. Dock hade man kanske förväntat sig mer av ett fyrstjärnigt hotell. Dock skulle

  Понравилось: Väldigt sköna sängar och god frukost. Bra läge och nära till allt.

  Не понравилось: Rummet städades inte alls under tiden vi var där. (Tre nätter). Ingen kollade om vi behövde mer toapapper under vistelsen. Vi fick själva gå ner och hämta mer. Toalettvasken var det också stopp i när vi checkade in. Det åtgärdades dock efter att vi påtalat det. Vid frukosten fick vi vänta länge innan vi fick plats. Väldigt dåligt vattentryck också i duschen.

  Loistava sijainti, töykeä henkilökunta

  Понравилось: Hotellin sijainti on loistava, sängyt olivat hyvät, aamiainen ihan ok.

  Не понравилось: Henkilökunta tuntui ammattitaidottomalta ja erityisesti ongelmatilanteissa jopa töykeältä. Hotellin puolella olleita virheitä ei pahoiteltu kertaakaan ja asiakkaan piti todistaa olevansa oikeassa. En suosittele enkä tule uudestaan.

  Booking should be honest about where your staying

  Не понравилось: Booked hotel but on arrival sent to house across the road which staff insisted was still the hotel, no bar etc. It was like a rented room in a house. You had to go back across to the hotel for breakfast next morning. Reception has banister for a stairs beside it and its thick with dirt, just totally off putting

  Worst experience ever

  Понравилось: To be honest, nothing really.

  Не понравилось: The room was too tiny, the floor boards were creaky, the team were not helpful at all. In fact, we had specifically informed them that we want housekeeping done when we weee in the room so please not to send anyone and they still sent housekeeping. And on top of that, the housekeeping team took away all the towels and did not replace them. When we returned and found that we had no towels and asked for it, they said we needed to come to the reception to get our own towels. On the day of checkout I asked for help with the bags, the guy said he was alone and could not leave the reception. When we got down, he was there with a colleague and still did not offer to help with the bags down the stairs. I was traveling with my 76 yr old mother. Quite terrible.

  A comfortable and safe hotel in the heart of London.

  Понравилось: Very friendly and courteous staff at reception, especially the lady who checked us in. The room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel is within walking distance of Paddington station and close to most of the London attractions. Good breakfast on offer.

  Не понравилось: The stairs and hallways need refurbishment. Restaurant staff were not very friendly. Seemed like they were not happy to be there.

  Better 4* hotels around

  Понравилось: Good location. Safe, fridge and tea making facilities in the room. Breakfast is fair.

  Не понравилось: I don’t like to be critical but somethings have to be pointed out. This is not a 4* hotel. I had to check on the web site to double check. It is tired and worn. Carpets dirty. Only one lift. The pictures on the website is not what you see now. Our double room was so small and cramped. The wardrobe was difficult to access and you have to walk sideways on one side of the bed to get in. The breakfast room is in the basement which is small and doesn’t make for a good experience as tables a very close together. In my view this is a 3* hotel and not the 4* I paid for.

  Не понравилось: Meine Matratze hatte eine richtige Kuhle. Am Morgen nach der ersten Nacht habe ich an der Rezeption bescheid gegeben und gesagt, dass ich auf dieser Matratze sehr schlecht schlafen kann. Es wurde nichts unternommen. Es hat nicht einmal jemand danach geschaut. Ansonsten war das Zimmer und das Bad sehr geräumig für englische Verhältnisse und sauber. Ein großer Fernseher war auch vorhanden.

  Не понравилось: Hotel door lock broke, got locked out for an hour while maintenance had to drill the door lock. Left us rushing and ended up in basement room. Shower was very poor.

Le lit n'a pas été fait et le nettoyage non plus. Si déjà on demande explicitement le room-service, j'ai une attente envers ce service. De plus de lit était vraiment petit pour 2 personnes.

  Far from a 4-star experience, especially for the price

  Не понравилось: We checked in at 9 am and were offered a basement room three times, even though we had specifically paid extra on Booking for an above-ground room. The room we were finally given was tiny (there wasn't enough space for two people to move around), dark, cold, and located in a separate building across the street from reception. It looked nothing like the deluxe room shown on the website. When I asked reception whether anything else was available, the receptionist told me this was the room we had booked and that all rooms were the same size. I showed her the photo of the room we had paid for, and she replied that it wasn't her fault but the marketing team's. She then offered us a basement room again. When we came back after a long day, we found that the heater was broken, so the room was freezing, and the lights were flickering. Back at reception, another staff member offered us three rooms, two of them underground. By then we just wanted to rest, so we moved to room 221 in the main building. It was bigger and more welcoming, but: the curtain wouldn't open fully, the room was dusty and dirty (photo attached), the toilet had been left clogged by the previous guests, the heater didn't work either, and the view was of the AC units on the roof. Housekeeping never came during our stay, we were given no information about breakfast, and the Wi-Fi was weak throughout the building. We paid more than €400 for a supposedly 4-star hotel. Given the price and the category, this stay was a real disappointment.

  Friendly staff and great location.

  Понравилось: Great location in Paddington. Close to train station and easy to get to direct from airport. Breakfast options were perfect.

  Не понравилось: Very small rooms, we did book the compact room. But did not realise how small it would bed. I would suggest upgrading above when booking. Could hardly have x2 suitcases inside the room. Good value for money though just beware of room sizes when booking.

  Zou een volgende keer dit hotel niet weer nemen. Ziet er bij Booking.com mooier uit dan het is.

  Не понравилось: upon my arrival, i was told that instead of the 12 rooms i have booked for my colleagues and I, they only had 8 available for me. it was only after assertively standing my ground that they suddenly had all 12 rooms available. i was also told that none of us had breakfast included in the price, despite the fact my invoice clearly stated we had also paid for it. i had to email them this invoice in order for them to finally confirm we will get breakfast the coming days. i was also obly told that some of the rooms are in the basement, none of it was mentioned on the site. one of my colleagues arrived to his room late at night and it was messy, there was trash everywhere, the bed was not made. when i went to complain about it the next morning to the receptionist, i was met with sheer arrogance, the receptionist at first only said that my colleague was supposed to request a new room immediately. it was only after a while that she offered to get the room cleaned.

  Good location but many issues

  Понравилось: Location is excellent, hotel is quite beautiful and well organized

  Не понравилось: The room was different from the pictures. I asked for a triple room and they gave me a double and added a children's bed in the corner which took a lot of space and made the room way smaller. Cleanliness was ok but we found a piece of Nutella under my kid's bed. The bathroom had no ventilation which makes the room quite smelly. We had to leave the door closed. Inside the bathroom the temperature was warm but in the bedroom was soooooo cold. The ventilation was just blowing cold air and no way to turn it off. We had to move the kids bed to another place. Breakfast was OK but the place is so small that if you don't go early, you need to wait outside for a while. The service was very bad. People quite rude. Many times I said good morning and nobody replies. Except the Romanian gentleman from the reception, I didn't find anyone nice. To add, the elevator was broken and we were on the top floor. In summary, many issues.... unfortunately was not as expected.

  Very disappointed and won't stay here again.

  Не понравилось: This was a special occasion, for my wifes 50th birthday and the 4 star hotel was very disappointing. The hotel was on a split site and the first room we were given was dirty, with hair and plasters on the floor and walls. The carpet hadn't been cleaned and the bed linen wasn't clean. The lights and furniture in the room were dated and some were broken. The second room was better but not up to a 4 star level nor was it reflective of the price paid.

  Не понравилось: hotel a 4 stelle, ma non ne capisco il motivo..1 sarebbe più che sufficiente,camera minuscola in due non ci si muoveva,senza frigo,ambiente sporco moquette tutta impolverata, non ci hanno pulito la stanza per 5 giorni ,il riscaldamento funzionava solo nel bagno con un riscaldamento a terra.. per riscaldare la camera bisognava stare per forza con la porta aperta del bagno,il bagno schiuma e lo shampoo erano finiti e li ho chiesti per 2 volte consecutive ma nessuno é venuto a rimpiazzarli siamo state costrette a lavarci con il sapone delle mani!! per di più siamo andate a chiedere un set di asciugamani puliti e ce ne hanno dati solo 2 tutti spiegazzati,spaiati e uno dei due macchiato (ricordo che è un hotel a 4 stelle)!!

  Great location, but room layout and breakfast could be improved

  Понравилось: The hotel is in a great location in a lovely neighbourhood, just a short walk from Hyde Park and Paddington Underground Station. Buckingham Palace is also within easy walking distance, making it a convenient base for exploring London. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly with storing our luggage before check-in, which we really appreciated.

  Не понравилось: Although complimentary breakfast was included in our booking, we were unable to take advantage of it during our stay. The breakfast restaurant is located downstairs beneath the hotel and is quite cramped. We attempted to have breakfast each morning, but there were always at least 15 people queuing just to get a table, which was disappointing. The rooms are also on the smaller side, which is understandable for London, but the oversized furniture makes them feel even more cramped. Smaller wardrobes and a more compact desk would make the room much easier to navigate and improve the overall use of the available space.

  Не понравилось: The hotel is extremely outdated. The rooms are extremely small. Very bad water pressure. Some rooms (3rd floor especially) only have access via a staircase, this is a problem for certain guests. The rooms have ZERO sound insulation, you literally hear everything. The elevator issue is especially bad, this in itself would have prevented me from staying had I know. However, this is classic London. You pay for location.

  Una bella sorpresa

  Понравилось: Super soddisfatti della scelta! È stata la nostra seconda volta a Londra e abbiamo deciso di provare questo hotel, una scelta che si è rivelata davvero azzeccata! Abbiamo apprezzato molto la posizione, a metà strada tra le fermate della metro di Lancaster Gate e Queensway, in una zona tranquilla, curata e piacevole. Noi alloggiavamo nell’ala Devonshire, ma bastava semplicemente attraversare la strada per raggiungere l’hotel principale. La colazione era varia, con una buona scelta di pietanze, comprese quelle tipiche inglesi. Lo staff si è dimostrato sempre disponibile, gentile e cordiale. Nel complesso, un soggiorno super soddisfacente! Lo consigliamo sicuramente a chi cerca un hotel in una bella zona di Londra, comoda per gli spostamenti e perfetta per godersi la città.

  Не понравилось: L’unica cosa che non abbiamo apprezzato molto è stata la mancata comunicazione, al momento del check-in, della nuova policy relativa alle pulizie della camera. Ci è stato spiegato solo successivamente che dovevano essere prenotate la sera prima per il giorno seguente, tramite un QR code presente al desk. Il giorno dopo abbiamo chiesto informazioni allo staff e siamo riusciti a risolvere senza particolari problemi. Sarebbe stato sicuramente utile ricevere questa informazione già al nostro arrivo, così da evitare qualsiasi dubbio o inconveniente.

  Не понравилось: Ilmastointi päällä huone oli erittäin kylmä. Kävimme sanomassa ensimmäisenä yönä respassa, jonka jälkeen he laittoivat ilmastoinnin kokonaan pois, jonka jälkeen huoneessa oli erittäin kuuma. Vaihtoehdot oli siis kylmä tai erittäin kuuma. Siivoja ei käynyt kertaakaan huoneessamme oleskelumme aikana. Tällä sivustolla lukee päivittäinen siivous, mutta kukaan ei maininnut meille, että se olisi pitänyt erikseen joka päivä tilata. Hissi ei toiminut, ilmeisesti ollut pidempäänkin rikki.

  Не понравилось: Vi havde et værelse med to senge. Min var ved at brase sammen på trods af at gøre opmærksom på dette skete der ikke noget. Der var ingen mikrobølgeovn selvom det var annonceret på værelsesbeskrivelsen. Køleskabet var beskidt og ikke koldt så den mælk vi havde købt blev sur efter 1,5 dag. 😔 Jeg havde spurgt om et par ekstra puder hjemmefra. Denne besked blev ikke besvaret ej eller blev det imødekommet da jeg spurgte i receptionen -fordi de vidste ikke hvor puderne var.

  Не понравилось: La receptionniste ne trouvait pas mon réglement à mon arrivée. j'avais payé sur booking plusieurs jours avant. J'ai du faire opposition à ma carte pensant à un piratage. J'ai perdu 1h30 pour rien, elle n'avait juste pas vu mon réglement. Elle m'a gâché mon arrivée à Londres. De plus la moquette de la chambre était sale, il y avait des cheveux et une pince par terre et la douche était bouchée pouru une chambre luxe club à lits jumeaux. Le bruit, les murs sont fins, on entend tout. Incompetent receptionist. She claimed that I hadn’t paid for my stay, even though I had already paid via Booking.com several days earlier. I had to cancel my bank card and spent an hour on the phone with my bank in France. Several hours later, she finally located my payment. She didn’t even apologize. Incompetent and unpleasant. On October 14th, several other people at the reception desk were also angry with her. She ruined my arrival in London. I thought I had been a victim of fraud; I ended up calling my French bank for nothing. Furthermore, the carpet in the room was dirty—there was hair and a hair clip on the floor—and the shower was clogged; this, for a "luxury club" twin-bedded room. There is noise, and the walls are thin. You can hear everything!

  Понравилось: Frühstück war im Keller nur über steile Treppe zu erreichen. Gekochte Eier waren von 4 mal 2mal schlecht

  Не понравилось: Internet Angebot -Zimmer- hat der Wirklichkeit in keinster Weise entsprochen, trotz nochmaliger Nachfrage an der Rezeption . Gebucht war ein Deluxe Dreibettzimmer - Devonshire Flügel. Zimmer war wie bei Harry Potter unter der Treppe mit Klappbetten .

  Понравилось: Soddisfacente la posizione, camera e colazione negativa per un 4 stelle, no servizio pulizia stanza, 4 piano ascensore guasto, staff distante e poco collaborativo

  Не понравилось: Pulizia della stanza assente, scarsa cortesia e professionalità dello staff,scarsa qualità e varietà della colazione, pessima accoglienza clienti e rispetto delle prenotazioni e degli standards e dei prezzi di un hotel 4 stelle, sistemazione alternativa rispetto lo scantinato proposto nell'hotel di fronte (Sunday Paddington Hotel Devonshire Terrace al 4 piano con ascensore guasto per tutto il soggiorno e no air condizionata o guasta nella stanza

  Не понравилось: This is one of the worst hotels i've stayed in absolutely disgusting I am so unhappy I was put in in a room in the basement where there was absolutely no telephone service. The room does not resemble the photos from the booking at all. This is a 2 star hotel at Best. Upon arriving on the room, there are stains on the wall, cracks near the bottom of the walls. Having no telephone service despite the fact that I have to work and have access to phone calls. The gentlemen who welcomed me was very dismissive when I kindly explained the situation to him. He proceeded to move me to another room in the BASEMENT! where there was no phone service. I am disgusted. I am not happy with the service and I’m more than happy to send photos of the condition of the room as well. Not to mention the nosies coming from upstairs during the early hours of the morning from 6am to 8:30am. Banging, stomping, people talking loudly, no respect for the other customers.

  Love this area of London

  Понравилось: Always a good place to stay, surprisingly good breakfast. Area is always great. So close to Hyde Park which is lovely during the summer, but also multiple tube lines nearby. A place I stay regularly when in town

  Не понравилось: Not your traditional hotel so be aware of that. I personally prefer rooms in the main building versus those across the street. Lots of steps to be cautious of aswel but it is an older building so not the hotels fault.

  Не понравилось: Desayuno escaso, las habitaciones dobles compactas deberían comentar que la cama para dos personas no es cómoda. Era bastante pequeña. La limpieza de las habitaciones, al ser moqueta no era muy buena. En las 3 noches, no se pasó la aspiradora ni una sola vez. Pelos suelo baño. Primer día no había gel, tuvimos que pedirlo . Edredón muy pequeño .

  Не понравилось: For the cost of the hotel it was unclean, room was crammed, shower not working properly, shower control broken (fell off) i would say this is a 2 start at max.
